theyve changed things around now that officers, lower enlisted and NCOs could date or get married as long as their not in their chain of command.

She could have received her commission after they were married during his enlistment or vice versa. I think there might be a waiver one can receive as well. My drill sergeant in basic told our platoon that he'd married his wife while he was an E-6 and she was an O-2. I'm not sure how that worked...and I didn't want to be the Private who started asking questions about his wife :P
