This guy was cautious, but did well for the snow conditions. You can't rip straight down unless there is tons of pow which is rare for the wind blown Lone Peak.
"if he falls and slides death is 70% likely" ? and where'd you find this statistic because i know that's completely false and made up. living in the mountain village of big sky i've seen and heard plenty of stories of falls and amazingly.. there not dead! definitely gnarly conditions but if you've never skied it yourself maybe you shouldn't be giving out false facts
Video never does the terrain justice, unless you know what you are looking at. First, it's a head-cam, this guy is a solid technical skier. You see this not by looking it his skis, but his camera remains on the fall line throughout the run. Almost a perfect run and it's steep!!! Great work! I live in Bozeman and will be skiing Big Sky all next season again! Love it!
This is by no means an easy run... As long as you pace yourself (if you need it), and have skiing experience (not all blue runs), you'll be fine. OH and most importantly, CONFIDENCE and BALLS. good stuff
NICE, the BIG is a rush i skied it Jan 30 2010 first run of the last day of the trip wow my legs were shot but that was my goal so i did it. Wasn't quit as Rockie that day as this looks but Rockie enough. The videos don't do it Justice.
