  • the low string is often tuned differently in middle eastern music, and you can't detune a pair of strings quickly.

  • There are 5 sets of doubled strings and one single bass string. I'm not certain why they came up with that arrangement -- maybe it is traditional for the Oud?

  • 11 string guitar? I've heard of 12 strings, what is an 11 string like? Are they paired somehow (like on a 12 string), or seprate?

    btw, I love middle-eastern music, and this sounds pretey good. What Maqam do you use in this? And your metal stuff is cool too. I am a big fan of your music.
