Unfortunately, most of the north indian audience are not aware of his works, not sure of the reasons(that's
another topic altogether). Lets look into the songs which have made us feel the way the characters have felt, maybe the Chip Based ,Computerised,Rhythm pads..He was one of the earliest Indian film composers to use Western classical music harmonies and string arrangements in Indian film music.He used electronic music technology that integrates synthesisers, electric guitars and keyboards, drum machines, rhythm boxes and MIDI with large orchestrasSo he has no right to resist that,..

But i dont accept to talk on modern music!he has no right to degrade other composers,He said Real composers dont use technology,He didnt used? technology in his music to gain top position?

Anyway,ilayaraja has right to tell.There is no point ilayaraja in emotion.

But Recently ilayaraja protected all his works under copyrights act. If anybody copies his work they will be penalised. Is there any composers of present time have the guts to do like this?

@CHERIPELLIKISHAN He belongs to old school, where he understands characters, situations, emotions, feel create music from his creative mind inspired from his roots and predecessors. Rather than searching though libraries and manuals.

@CHERIPELLIKISHAN It's not about synth and electronics. He always used it and still uses them (even overuses). He's talking about the preset beats/rhythm/tunes that comes as loops, which can be just modulated to make music. Basic beat patterns are fine, they are just like building blocks like thalam's in our music. It is about what you create on top of it, for which you can claim credit. General crowd don't know the difference on which part is created by whom.
