The Final Fireworks @ Shea Stadium's last game, ever.

The music is the Fanfare for the Common Man followed by a great thanks by the announcer. It was quite emotional seeing Seaver and Piazza walk out the center field gates, then close them yet quite disappointing that they couldn't win their last game.

So be it. Welcome Citi Field next year with hesitance.

  • yo i remember i got my first car that day me n my dad were trying to fix it up at least that i could have drove it too school next day. i came inside to watch the ceramony when it was ending i started crying so much last time i cried like that was when the mets lost in 06 shea will always be the home of the mets no matter what

  • This was my second home, i cried too i was there sec 48 Upper reserved. When I walked out I kissed the ground

  • I cried. Couldn't stop. One because the Mets lost, and that is another topic, but another is because Shea won't be there again. Shea was my summer home. Whenever I go to Citi Field, I'm saying I'm going to Shea. That will never change.

  • You weren't alone. I cried so much and I can't even remember the last time I've cried. It was just so sad and heartwarming. They couldn't have done it any better with Piazza and Seaver.

  • they lost

  • eh, shea stadiums final game was overshadowed by yankee stadium's final game IMO, but yeah, both new york stadiums were good, oh well, angels for 09 champs, lol
