Intarsia is a form of colorwork knitting where you are only holding one strand (a single color) of yarn at a time. I created this video for my sister-in-law-to-be to help her out with a knitting project. At one point my knitting goes above the camera, but I promise that I come back into frame! See http://www.chemknits.com for free patterns and other knitting commentary

  • Thanks sooooooo much! I'd never heard of Intarsia, but it's helping soo much, my work isn't pulled by carrying over!

  • Thanks for showing the twisting at the color change, it really helped. Easy to understand. -Lisa

  • Thank you for this video. I viewed many on how to do intarsia knitting and they were confusing. Yours was very straight forward and easy to follow. Using the 2 really different color yarns was great. Hope to see more of your videos!

  • Thanks! Exactly what I needed to see for my verticle stripes. Perfect!

  • Thankyou. Very helpful.
