I just attended the concert in Calgary (Friday Oct, 15 2011) and never got a chance to say how much I enjoyed your performance during the intermission, I am just learning the piano and I wouldn't even be able to wish to have a fraction of the talent you display. It was a truly stellar performance.

On Bach being strange: sometimes Bach will venture into dissonant harmonies and far-off keys in the section before the return to the home key, or toward the end of the composition in the last phrase before the coda. However, I have never thought of Bach being strange, which doesn't seem the right word. Maybe adventurous, cosmic, all-encompassing, encyclopedic?

Thank you for sharing this, Simone. Although I don't play anymore, the piano remains my favorite instrument, and the one that can move me to tears. You are a incredibly gifted pianist and i appreciate your musical passion.
