The water cooling kit used in this video is the Antec Kuhler 620 and the processor is an Intel Core i7 2600K.

Steps:

1. Prep your backplate and retention ring with the necessary screws, tension clips, and adhesive backing if provided.
2. Push the backsplate's screws into the corresponding holes on the back of the motherboard.
3. Attach the retention ring to the front of the motherboard and do not completely screw it in.
4. Screw the radiator/fan(s) to the appropriate location on your chassis.
5. Twist the pump into the bracket and then tighten the screws.
6. Connect the fan to the pump and the pump's power cable to the motherboard.

Remember to read the manual to know which brackets you need to use for your motherboard.

  • I have a liquid cooled system on an ASUS M4A77T/USB3. I need to change the mobo, but I'm not sure how to re-install the liquid cooling kit. Are most kits the same, i.e. Just press into bracket, or so some require a heat sync adhesive (Not sure what it's called)?

  • @garthrs They all generally have the same parts but the installation process may be different. Just look to see how it is currently installed and try your best to install it the same way on the new motherboard.

  • @garthrs Your going to need to clean of the contact and re-apply thermal Paste to the Water Block.
