This airplane was piloted by Lockheed's chief test pilot for the C-130J. I think he knows what he was doing. The aircraft never exceeded it's airframe or system limitations, as this whole routine was essentially flown by the avionics system on board. If you know anything about flying, you'll know that short field landings are never the softest. This is a stock tail number borrowed from Ramstein for the airshow so this gives the world a clue about the A400M has to try and compete with.

Having looked at the data from these flights, I can assure you that the maneuvers flown during this demo were within the flight manual limitations and the there were no exceedances of external loads on the aircraft. It's part of my job to ensure this is the case.
I have worked with over 50 test pilots in my 27 years in this business...and the man flying this aircraft is among the very best.
