@SouthernSympathiser Back then almost all handgun shooting was one-handed. I always wondered why and I suspect it might be a hold-over from training with swords (officers carried sabres right till end of 1800's).
I think america started the two-handed hold from the prevalence of very-high power revolvers, where two handed hold was a necessity, like a broad sword.
But what worked for a heavy high-power revolver, works also for a small moderate-power pistol.
Damn... It just looks so good for shooting with one hand with a luger. I prefer more airsoft guns and don't like the real things :D Just wanted to know, what does it sounds like :P
I watched some of this guy's videos: accurate information and nice shots of the firearms in use...but his action movie star voice does not match his beer gut (as he was Delta Force, I guess it once did)
Plus, the Luger was not particularly linked to the Waffen SS (they used Walthers and Brownings as well, GP35 for example)...I agree that this assumption is rather puzzling

@SouthernSympathiser
That's how they did it back in the day. Wasn't until Jeff Cooper until two-handed shooting became the style of choice.
