Atari failed amiga had a nice expansion capability,s that gave them the edge even now lots of new hardware is released for the amiga .amigakit is a great online shop for the amiga selling lots of new stuff.

Well to be fair, either case would have ended badly since both computer companies died out, along with Stoneware.

@doubledragonuk Ataris comparable machine was the Falcon and that blew the 1200 away technically. I had a 1200 in the day becos it had more software and backward compatable with the 16bit machines (though not 100%).

i love Atari computers, but the ST`s were so slow, the Commodore Amiga`s are great ive got my A1200 Tower which i still use, the Atari XL & XE`s are fine, didnt like the Amiga 500, the 500+ was a big improvement
