MGS4 New Game Big Boss Emblem Speedrun: 1:39:03 Act 3: Part 2 (Faster) Inc Act 3 Result.

This video has an improved Raven fight that only requires 4 shots. It's much faster than my original method. For those that watched the original vid, the only differences here are the Raven battle & the faster Act 3 time. I reused the first 2 sections. I didn't want to upload just the changes as the playlist will become disorganised with sections tagged on here or there separately or otherwise.

I redid the N sector in light of a discovery by a friend of mine which saves all important seconds. I didn't want to upload a faster version of Act 3: Part 1 as only 1 of 7 sections has changed. Thus I have tagged it onto this video because I had to show the change & it was the only section that was faster. The bike chase time is fixed & the time taken for both sections was exactly the same as before & my method isn't any different either.

Riverside East (3rd Bike Chase section):-

The XM25 lived up to expectations. With only 1 hit, you can cause 25% damage to Raven during the chase which is the maximum possible. I added extra hits just because it livens up the chase between the eventful set pieces. My no damage plans are irrelevant now. So I didn't worry about taking damage too much. I just wanted to get beyond the double turret blockade without receiving damage. Unfortunately I got hit just at the limit of their firing range. I also wanted to drop 3 of the first 4 turret gunners encountered too, which I did. I managed to hit the turret gunner on the right of the double blockade & that usually allows me to carry on without taking any damage from the other. That was not the case this time though.
Strangely enough you cannot purchase ammo for the XM25. Either you need to find an ammo box first or a duplicate weapon or there is some other reason that I am unaware of yet.

Raging Raven:-

Even though I changed the aiming side in the N sector it was still on the left here, which is odd as I never clicked the stick in during the chase.

My plan payed off as this battle was very fast & only slightly slower than the conventional Clear Game method. Mid-flight is the best time for maximum damage.
You can hit Raven earlier via the window to your left from the starting position, but she still needs to fly around to the same spot as shown in this vid so you can get the second hit in. So it isn't any faster at all.
The maximum damage possible on the first hit is equal to the space between the letters ''R'' & ''A'' of RAVEN.
Raven has brief moments of invulnerability depending upon how quickly you attack her. Especially as she comes to an upright position after flight.

how do you have the 50 cal if this is a new game ?? i am here and i dont have enough dreb points to buy the weapon .. and as fast as youre going i cant imagine you have picked up more points than me ..

seriously .. is there something i dont know about .. can you import drebin points from another character perhaps ??

I gained extra Drebin points by collecting additional weapons & taking as many Gekkos down as possible in Act 2. Watch the vids up to the end of Act 2. You'll see my Drebin points are just enough to buy the M82A2. I only purchased 1 expensive weapon prior to the M82A2.

@MGOshooterx Th triple triple-handed bots. If you follow him under the bridges by the first river, you see him peeking around a corner as the resistance member is walking by the river and as soon as you get close or point a weapon at him, he crawls back.

@Kingpodrera If it's a map hazard or another AI's kill, it doesn't count as yours. To the frog, it's like: "sh*t happens" so you can go though and eliminate them this way... But it takes a good aim to not kill em with your bullets...

What bullets did you load in your M4 custom? I thought you could'nt buy n-lethal amo in Extreme mode?

And what about damaging Raven during the bike run? Does it make her start the battle with lower health or does it prevent her from blasting you?

Well, you kill some frogs in the video (shooting on the barrels). You can kill the frogs that way and still get the BBE?

Guys you are allow to kill the bosses ( beast form) with any regular gun, they don't count as a kill. But in beauty form u have to eliminate them with non lethal guns. The only reason u don't want to kill the beast form is to get the solar gun.
