To the bands: Excuse me for wondering, but why is it necessary to engage in repition amongst almost all of you. Why is it necessary for everyone to play "You're a Grand Old Flag" by George M. Cohan over and over? Don't you communicate with each other, or is there some kind of contest going on? Don't misinterpet. We like the march, but have you ever heard of John Philip Sousa?

Otherwise I always enjoy the show, and the City deserves credit for a great marching band turnout.

  • I'm sorry but that was UNR band playing your a grand ole flag. McQueen played Ancient and honorable artillery march by John Phillip Sousa this parade.

  • Thank you, vekoma. I had to edit out some good UNR footage. Afraid of the repition.

All I can say is this: For a good band that's struggling financially, they should show more originality.

  • YES! Let's have some John Philip Sousa!

and maybe concentrate on staying in step.....

  • Got a bad feeling it may be school PC running wild.

  • excellent job. Are you going to cover the Inauguration?

  • We all have our limitations.
