@upst8 not at all... I have a Squier HSS Strat, and I actually prefer it to fenders, the only things that I've changed were the strap buttons to straplocks, the pickup selector to a fender one, and the strings up to .54-.13

Yeah I think that's what they call it - standard strat. I've played it on a bunch of videos on here. 79.99 used. I recently covered it with red and black electrical tape to make it look Van Halen-ey. I prefer my Fender but this is a good backup.

@7isunlucky I don't know why they have such a bad rap - i really like mine. It feels kinds of flimsy, but it plays really nice and sounds nice and shimmery. Maybe I got lucky.
