Arlen Specter----what a guy! Strokes his own ego by claiming Hill's credibility was destroyed. She was far more credible than Thomas, even though Biden gave Thomas softball questions, unlike what Hill faced. specter wsa on the Kerner Commission that come up with a BS conclusion that there was no conspiracy to assassinate JFK (real credible). And then to show what a politician he is---he switches to Democratic party to save his seat.

Anita Hill should be a household name. All women in the United States owe her great thanks, and should strive to be as strong in conscience and effort as she was before, during, and after the hearing.

...so concerned w/ due process & all wouldnt Thomas be innocent until proven guilty in court, yet your sure Hill is the victim. Actually it amazes how so many assume Thomas is guilty & how so few even bother to get the details. Like I said all she really accused him of was being a creep & I've seen tons of comments w/ stuff like they hope Thomas dies from cancer & suffers horribly from it. I guess they think he raped her I mean WTF

...need to say it she isnt in trouble, shes like a witness. Witnesses dont have lawyers when they testify in court, do they. Or do u think she needs a lawyer to protect her feelings from getting hurt. These hearings are only being held b/c of what she claimed so its a lil late for the victim card. Her timing is like an ex-wife showing up after you won the lottery saying she still loves you. Its called suspicious, so boo hoo they questioned her story.

If they did you never would have heard of Anita Hill, b/c they never would have taken it to court, b/c there was nothing to take to court. OK so if your practicing law then its not cool to sexually harass your female subordinates but anyone else like the president for example its cool. And what about all the women who accused Clinton of harassment. What about their 'due process' what about their justice. B/c the only case that saw the light of day was Lewinski and that was consensual.

As for Hill she reported her 10yr old allegations to the FBI. And then, what a shocker, the interview was leaked to the...

@mikedd56 I mentioned Clinton simply to quote his ideas on governing. Don't confuse the sex and the charges. Read the book. And then we can have a serious discussion. I have read The Conscience of a Conservative. And although I don't agree with some of the point, some makes senses. We all disagree at some points - just don't defend your ideal at all cost. Even at the cost of our conscience - or justice.
