Hey, when I run cowbells, I usually run a shorter distance for lures ( 3-5') and when using bait, I run a longer setup for when the fish are finiky (3-6').
great info! I have been playing around with leader length. I'm mostly fishing for lakers, brown and rainbows. I use cowbells alot, usually with a decent size flutter spoon. I have ran them from 6" to 3' back. The spoon seems to have better action further back, but how far is to far from an attractor like cowbells?
Do you need a rubber snubber?
