ps-by the time children reach middle school age, they generally have a clarity in respecting elders, and in turn teach younger siblings, younger cousins, younger people in the island to follow suit. No, it's not a perfect system per se, but it is an effective one. This form of disciplinary growing up also stops us Samoans from speaking out of turn, 'screeching', 'whining', at unnecessary knee jerk reaction pace for the most part.
