The mix is perfect on that '71 to '75 CD. I pleaded (thru e-mails)
with the record company to release more alternate takes from those Revolution of the Mind sessions.
Only drawback on the alt. Hot pants is that JB is just a bit excessive in his vocal attack - I love it, but it sure ain't "for the whole family".
The '73 version is a good all-around version.

@ensconse Actually, the previously unreleased '71 Apollo performance featured on the 2CD "Make It Funky/The Big Payback 1971-75" collection released in 1996 is even better.

Musically, the best live version I've heard on record. The alt. Apollo is better produced & more exciting, but this one is a mutha.....
