Phil and the band at Martyrs for Mark, the drummer's first show with them, as well as Barrett from The Mudflapps on guitar. This was an old arrangement of No Cover Charge, where the band would go straight into Surreal Life, both Phil Circle originals. You'll also see the antics of the band...Barrett and Lem stealing Phil's drinks, imitating his moves on stage, and more, while Amanda, the back-up vocalist laughs the whole time. Additionally, of course, the band sounds good.
You can find Surreal Life and No Cover Charge in band versions on Phil's album Searching For Scorpio. Additionally, Phil and Ruby Harris do an acoustic rendition on Live At The Gateway. A new band version of Surreal Life is available on Phil's new CD, too, expected to be completed and released by March, 2009.
