I have done this one before, but a friend suggested that it might sound better played on an archtop guitar.
So this is a Silvetone arch top from 1960 I have bought on eBay.

As I said on the previous version: Words & Music by Johnny Burke & Jimmy Van Heusen
Recorded by Bing Crosby, 1942
From the movie "Road to Morocco"
I'm not Bing Crosby, but I like the tune, and the chord progressions I have figured out for it.
I almost allways play old time music, so it's fun to play around with some jazz chords once in a while.

  • Wow it rings out beautifully. What a sound. I close my eyes and I am right there in that bar.Smoke hurts my eyes (I don't smoke) and there is Bing Crosby crooning in front of that old RCA microphone. Great stuff Jesper!

  • Thank you Fridrikur. It was your comment of my first version of the song here, that made me do this one. I play it in a key a bit lower, and I think you were absolutely right, the arch top sound much better for this kind of stuff.

    I'm glad you like it.
