Here is a configuration where the batter/lipo, rx module, servos, motors are located in between the coaxial upper and lower blades. The swashplate is mounted inverted and controls the cyclics of the lower blades instead of the upper blades.

This is very well done!
But I must say I like the Quadrocopter designs a bit better. Reason being is almost no moving parts aside from the motors and props.
The reason I steer clear of traditionally helis is the complexity in all the linkage and swashplates. Just so much more potential for mechanical failure.
But the work you've done is excellent. Great idea!

Nice execution - simple idea - two helis glued by the skids.
My plan was to use 2 x T-Rex 600's (upper with Helicommand).
But I think (hope) there's a big chance, there'll be affordable commercial dual swashplate coax helis in the shops in a matter of months - to save me the bother.
Or maybe they'll launch Blade 400's complete with gyro stabilizer (which gives you the same thing; something that's almost impossible to crash)
