i know and that's wrong, its the kids (or whoever) fault they ignored the gates, and oooooh that makes me mad

It's amazing how theatrical something as mundane as a train crossing a street can be. With all the flashing lights and moving barriers and the echoing horn, it really becomes a very entertaining moment of high drama, doesn't it?

@railfanner91019 I think it's a good safety precaution for death people and people who just don't think.

atsf would get revenge on bnsf.

agirlsman09 would be the first crybaby to petition for gates if someone he knew didn't have the brains to stay there instead of chancing death and ruining the lives of not only the victim, but the engineer. They might seem like a waste of money but then so is the cost of cleaning up after some dumb ass that screws up.

@ic6071 . I think it is a waste of money for the sidewalk gates. they won't do a dam. ppl can just lift them up and go under. still get hit.
-
@railfanner91019 agreed. People should know what and what not to do when gates are down. Then when someone gets hurt for doing what they should of not been doing on the tracks they blame the rail company. Idiots if you ask me.

@railfanner91019 look up video of people getting hitt crossing tracks, allot of people have no common sense

Contrary to what many people say, I like this new bell better than the old one. They replaced the crossing signals because they were old and the old bell was finally worn out. The new bell has no moving parts and will last longer and requires no lubrication.

@railfanner91019 so true there to young and kinda stupid to ingore it and just go around it when its down then the next thing you know is that the mother is screaming in horror
personally i think they waste money on those sidewalk gates. people should have the common sense to not walk when the crossings are down

i agree, but then if someone where to get hit there, and there were no gates, the person who got hit's family would probably try and sue.
