In 1983, Tommy Boy Records held a promotional contest, in which entrants were asked to remix the single "Play That Beat, Mr. D.J." by G.L.O.B.E. and Whiz Kid. By day, DiFranco worked in a professional music studio, while Stein was a copy supervisor for Doyle Dane Bernbach.
Since this mix is one of my favorites. So I put this piece together for a school project in college about 8yrs ago with a bunch videos which I compiled together to bring you this history. I always loved this song every time it came out on the radio '1580 KDAY AM Stereo-Los Angeles'. I just wanted to see what a music video for this song would look like. I hope you enjoy it as much I did when I was recalling all the good moments of the eighties. Thanks for your posts and thanks for watching.
