this is pooooooopy! I FREAKING LOVE THIS SERIES!!!!!! When i watched this scene in that episode, the frist thing i thought was when my friend becomes a manga writer(she wants to) Ill have her write a freaking huge I HATE YOU letter to the people who made this series i cant believe they actually died i mean they could have at least shown like 70 years later they were reincarnated or something i think this sucks! its been like 2 years since i finished this series and Im still not over their deaths

The ending in the anime is completely different from the manga. In the manga they got separated for some years and when Rosette was about to die, she went to the church and begged to not die before he came back. He came at that moment and they took farewell but Chrono didn't die.

This ending left me with a bittersweet depressed feeling for a couple of days. My Friend one day asked what was wrong and why I seemed so depressed. I then Yelled at her "BECAUSE CHRONO AND ROSTTEE DIED!!! " This anime will stick with me forever because this ending was so bittersweet.

I swear this ending makes me cry every time. No matter how many times I watch it, I bawl my eyes out every single time. I hate that they both had to die in the end. I love Greg!! He did such an amazing job as Chrno.

@AGAznB sorry, wont let me post the link to the site I found the explanation on :( error
The only thing that owuld make it sader is if they kissed and she died in the middle of it. I woudl have died. Just a little bit inside.

"I don't want to rest. Not yet." That's when I always begin to get teary and then to hear her say: "I don't wanna die." That tears me apart. To see such a strong-willed person throughout the whole series who appeared fine with dying irritated me but to see her break down in her last moments - while I was expecting it, made it all the harder to not cry. The scene is touching and a fitting end to the series.
