Our Bengal kitten Kimmy has a new game, he loves to jump in the air and snag a paper ball thrown over his head. I captured his trick using the slomo function on my camcorder, on one leap he does a perfect backward somersault.

    The tail is used yes but as far as I now the most important is the spine. As anyone who has had a cat knows they are extremely agile. So they use this to spin around in midair but twisting themselves around. For a human, twisting maybe 90 degrees is reasonable but cats can come up in twice that which means they can turn around in midair
