— Learn how to cook Thai food the real way with a real Thai. I was born and raised in Thailand, and I lived there for 20 years. I have always been obsessed with food and can't think of a life without it, so I went and got a nutrition degree in Canada, cooked in a few professional kitchens, and then off to culinary school in San Francisco. I am passionate about my culture, particularly its food, and I want to share it with the world. That's why I'm here. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do making it. Kob kun ka (thank you)!

Set aside 2 Tbsp marinade, marinade chicken 1 hour

  • Saw that Itkman liked the vid and I came to see what it was about. I love thai food and I'm gonna try this. I'm not gonna be able to find cilantro root though.

Quick question about the rice. Do you use jasmine rice, or just glutenous rice?

  • Hello there, I used glutinous rice, long grain. Sometimes it's called "sweet rice"

  • @PailinsKitchen So do you ever use Jasmine rice?

  • @NSarge87 all the time! i just happen to use sticky rice on the show lots

  • So, this is why all (well, not all) the grilled chicken in Bangkok taste yummy! I just wonder if the CP 5dao grilled chicken uses the same ingredients because their grilled chicken is also good!

  • i new this was difficult! I ate this 10 times a week from the gai tee ruk on pekasam? It was SOOOoooo good! I made this and, "It tasted the SAME as the Gai Tee Rak's"!!!! Thanks!

  • I love the way you talk about the 'smell' of the ingredients.. such a thai way of talking about cooking/food. Phalang just dont get it! haha

  • Nice work !

  • Excellent recipe. Besides the recipe, I really appreciate your technical knowledge. Your beatific smile helps to get excited about food projects too! Great show! Greetings from Poland.
