The Ornish Diet is a vegetarian diet created by a reputed member of the medical community, Dr. Dean Ornish who is also the author of, "Eat More, Weigh Less". Well, the title alone is worthy of the familiar line, "too good to be true" but Dr, Ornish is saying that people when people would be eating more of vegetable-based meals, they would reduce their weight.According to Dr. Ornish, blockages to the heart can be reversed and overall health can be improved by eating a vegetarian diet that is full of fiber and low in fat. The Ornish Diet encourages people to eat whatever fruits, vegetables, and whole grains they want whenever they are hungry. It is recommended that multiple small meals are eaten thorough out the day and that exercise and some form of stress relief such as massage or meditation be participated in at least three times a week.
