Unboxing Panasonic Lumix FZ38 Bridge Camera

I have now downgraded from my D200 and D70 as i found myself using my cameras less, so i found a cheap alternative that records in HD with decent audio (stereo audio)

whats the difference between the fz38 and fz35? i still dont get it

FZ38 is the European model, where you can only record 30 mins of footage at once, FZ35 rest of the world where there are no recording restrictions.

I also have a D200 but after lugging it around for a few years decided on getting something a little more compact which was the FZ38. After a little tweaking I have been taking shots on par with the Nikon if the ISO is below 400. Video's not too bad either but you'll need an ND filter.

Ive found it hard to adjust to the size of the FZ38, as i am so used to a bigger camera and a huge 17-55mm lens, but i agree the quality is rather good, the video i and audio exeeed my expectations, but you do seem to get some banding in low light. Not bad all rounder.

Hi, I am getting this on Monday, I have also downgraded, a lot of money tied up in gear that doesn't pay for itself these days!!, can you tel me if this has auto bracketing for 3 or 5 shots to use in HDR work?. Thanks
