"I Almost Lost My Mind" written and first recorded in 1950 by Ivory Joe Hunter was the #1 R&B record for that year. Joni James' version is from her 1962 album, After Hours on the MGm label It was included in her combined album, Like Three O'Clock In The Morning/ After Hours and her 1999 CD, Joni James - Jukebox Joni on the DRG label.
Nat King Cole recorded this in 1949. It was released on Capitol label 889. Don't know if it charted, probably did.

I stand corrected. I rechecked my source and it is a bit fuzzy about the date but appeared to be 1949. Further research confirms your info, that it was 1950 for Nat King Cole. Thanks! I'll update my video. CDB

Until now, I had only heard Pat Boone's version of this jazzy tune. The charming Joni gives her usual impecable performance. Thanks for sharing!

@JubalCalif
Joni's version is more bluesy than Pat's.
