It is not essential, but make sure that your screen is completely dust free before installation. This will ensure a proper adhesion!

very nice video to show how to install. At first i had no idea what the pre-installation film was and found out that so no dust sticks on. Sadly this is a one time use even though if you get 2 screen protectors in. also if you happen to get the dust on the sticky side, juse roll the tape, sticky side out and remove the dust that are stuck on the adhesive side. It worked for me.

For even better results, I use the wet application technique. Similar to the way a Zagg Invisible Shield is applied.

Hi ,I just got my new IPod Touch Yesterday from my local Apple Store. I really like it.

I was wondering is it safe to use Windex with or without ammonia on the screen? I did use some and it worked great but was wondering if i should continue.

I really wish i watched this video before i tried to put the film i got from the store on mine :( i wasted 14.95 :( .

i may have them do it next time lol.
