Recorded by the Electric Officer on the way to Jacksonville, FL, USA on July 21, 2009.
Found and rescued these two American boaters about 50 miles off Vero Beach, FL. Gave them food, water and let them rest after their 3 days of hunger and thirst in the middle of the ocean. Took them to Jacksonville, FL.

They went fishing in Vero Beach, and a storm broke out taking them off the shore. They didn't manage to get close to the shore anymore due to their moderate powered boat.

After lots of vessels hadn't stopped to rescue them for 3 days as they told, they are lucky we were passing near them at noon that day.

Our vessel is a 50,000 DWT clean product tanker, named M/T Yasa Seyhan. It is a 2009 Korean made with a B&W main engine.
