In fact, I would go as far as to say that SUSTAINBLE and ETHICAL clothing is not just better than charity, its necessary at this point in history, environmentally and economically.

All this charity stuff is hard to take from these people, I agree. What would be a lot more effective would be if all of these people supported and agitated for systematic changes to the clothing industry so that NO CLOTHES ARE MADE UNSUSTAINBLY or UNETHICALLY with fair wages and living wages. THAT would be A LOT more impactful - both for the environment and for the world.
