@Solky - oops my bad let me spell it correctly for you : Віктор Андрійович Ющенко. Sorry but IMO any person that kills their own countrymen is a traitor. To kill your fellow countrymen, child, or women and claim you are doing it for your country makes you a traitor. Also, let's not forget that Nationalist ( Poland, Ukraine, etc) sided with the losing party in the war.....ie the Nazi Party. BTW what did the current president of Ukraine say about these nationalists?

Please explain the difference in sound/instruments, etc between classic Russian folk and Ukrainian folk during this historical time period ( minus the language). I don't understand why west Ukraine is so hard pressed to distance themselves from Russia after thousands of years of history. I think that after Yurenshenko loses his next election we will see if Ukranians that worked with the Nazis in WW2 are still seen as national heros and not traitors.

Back in 2001 I used to listen to a song that our neihgbours from the Ukraine used to play, and the song was kind of harsh rap with guitars, and one of the songs, if I remember correctly, was New Day [Novyj Den], at least that was what i could catch. Anybody can help with whether it was Ukrainian or Russian band, or what the band could be? Or mission impossible?
