**UPDATE: the label on Aquafina will soon be changed to spell out that it is just expensive tap water.

The craze of bottled water is a national obsession but tap water is usually safer for you, and often better tasting too. Using a hidden camera, Penn & Teller will take a look at the obsession.

  • I only buy bottled water when I have no other available option to obtain water.

  • @shanesboard Plastic which is produced by way of massive amounts of oil. Plastic is oil-based, hence why it burns so well in fire. People complain about the amount of gasoline we use in our cars, and then go back to sipping what amounts to tap water from an oil-rich product and throw it away.

  • I do have stainless steel water bottles. But I dont always have one on me when im out. So if dont have one on me and there are no water fountains out then ill get myself a water bottle if I cant handle being that thirsty. The only times that happens is when im walking around during the summer time which is rare. Also dont confuse me for one of the idiots in the video who dont trust the tab water. Im fine with the water.

  • @CptMole What DID WE DO b4 bottled water! If u live in a "First World" country, then water is everywhere & easy to get. There are still water fountains around. You can carry a stainless steel water bottle & fill it at home & save a hella lot of money, wasted oil, energy, & landfill space. Get a filter for your tap at home. Refill your water bottle at rest areas, convenience stores (fountain dispenser or sink), etc. You can put ice in your bottle for free. Or use a travel mug.

  • @xXZeroClaymoreXx An expensive way to reward companies that engage in deceptive advertising! Buy a stainless steel water bottle and refill it from water fountains, soft drink dispensers, and sinks. These are everywhere,— in rest areas, in convenience stores, and of course, in restaurants. They are free. There is no excuse for buying bottled water. It's a waste of money, oil (to make a throwaway bottle), and energy (bottling and shipping). You can buy a filter for your tap.

  • Water is too wet for me

  • I hardly ever buy bottled water... but when I do it's usually more than a can of soda? WTF?

  • I only use bottled water when im traveling. Its just a quick way of getting water.

  • NYC tap water is the cleanest and tastiest in the country and isn't representative of most tap water, which smells like chlorine and gets cloudy. Unscientific test = the bullshit of "Bullshit!"

  • DO NOT DRINK HOT BOTTLED WATER!!! Related to the top comment, when water bottled water is heated, in a car for example, the chemicals in the plastic will start to move a little and soon go into the water and even get you sick.

  • "Agua de Culo" LOL ('ass water' in Spanish)

  • no talk of floride...
