Pretty much the same way I shoot with my Sigma DP2 :D (and DP1 as well, for that matter).

I just got back to tokyo from singapore and I missed it here so much... and loook, Mijonju on my homepage when i open my laptop. How lucky.

I really am liking the X1 now that I have seen this photo. One question though, if you shoot black n white straight from the camera, do you lose the color data for post processing? as in split toning or whatever-it-is-called.

@Whiteboyintokyo if you shoot in Raw, then you can get the color for other processing, but i only shot at black and white JPG, and because it was just for this video didn't though of shooting in raw

Iso 3200 is very impressive on the x1.

The from camera jpegs look really great in this video. I read a lot about the jpegs being pretty duff- pleased to see they are better than stated.

Have you made any large prints from the x1?

Curious to know just how big I will be able to print.

I was pretty focused through the whole video but when you pulled out the Rollei 35 I kinda jumped back and said whoa. I kinda love that camera.

What range of shutter speeds were you using for the night time shots in the video?

ISO 1600 with the X1 wide open at F2.8 hand held, impressive sharpness.

Did you post process any of the images shown?

@akpresse all of those have manual focus ; )

but there are no scales or anything on the lenses.. basically like a kit lens on nikon, canon etc. you can just turn a ring and the camera magnifies the live view but there are no manual focus scales or anything..

thats why i liked the leica x1 solution because other mirror less cameras have not even a simple focus scale like you have on prime lenses for dslrs

@BadWithNames123 alright, I see your point. However, most of these cameras don't have manual focus, or?

(if they do and even the manual doesn't even come with a depth-of-field scala, then I admit epic fail to them.

I know the dof for most of my cameras outta the head, some of my older cams [1920 pocket mid format agfa etc.] don't come with a scale too, but it's in the manual and you can hit it up there at least. But sure: when it comes to comfort it's a great feature)
