Beam might not be fixed to a particular musical style, but his beautifully complex lyrical poetry is always there.

Iron and Wine definitely has been moving into a new direction for some time now. Though I do prefer his older albums to Kiss Each Other Clean, I could definitely get into this new jazz direction.

ditto....i like how he's not fixed on a style, means he's a REAL musician (can you believe it with all the crap that's out there right now? ha ha haa) and knows how to compose music and lyrics...simply amazing! a gem...

This is so great. I remember Iron and Wine for a few reasons from my college years - friends girlfriend loved Boy with a Coin and another friend learned to play guitar by playing Such Great Heights literally 24/7 - but I am loving the new jazzy style. It's great, its not just jazz, it'a almost like a showtune, very theatrical.

Agreed. It's not likely for me to appreciate when artists morph their styles to this extent, but I actually really enjoy this. It's almost like his music is changing along with my tastes.
