Star Fox Competition: 348778 points

Here is one of my runs through the Star Fox Competition Weekend ROM. I've actually got a high score of 377861, but ZSNES gets out of sync a lot with this ROM. I've only got this one to work. :-( Anyway, my best run looks a lot like this, so just imagine that I screw up a little less on the 3rd level.

Jeez... over 300,000 points... very impressive. I barely reached 100,000 during the actual competition, guess I should have thought about making more observations from other players but I'm sure that wouldn't happen. Anyways, awesome job!!

@hypermagneto999 Well actually, during the competition I scored 150,000...then later I acquired the full game and scored 196,000...which is pretty much the highest you can get. I think that's the highest score recorded. The difference here is that the emulator's clock runs differently so much higher scores are possible. So this isn't really reflective of the real cartridge.

I'm glad to see other people out there love this game as much as I do!

Well the non-rom version plays differently. i use a different strategy and it lasts a lot less long. I've got a score of around 194,000 on it, which is about perfect.

Anyway, you have to try ebay or dealers. There are only 3000 copies of the game. I own one, but I'm not selling, lol.

IMO, I felt dizzy after you zoomed in and out of the cockpit. Was it really to slow the clock a bit? Because it messed you up some.

Yes, it was meant to gain extra time. If I messed up on the last level, it's just because that's the only version of this that recorded properly. Like I said, I've actually got 377861 as the high score.

Your right Z..I should know..I won the 1996 compation jack at Toys R us and The Nintendo 63 with 3 game from EB..X-wing fighter my azz..

No, it's not the final level. This is a competition version of the original game. The goal is to get as many points as you can in the given time.

Haha, this is very cool and fun, but the DKC: CC is more fun to play, imo.
