  • This tune is the blueprint for melancholy indie music. Sad lyrics, hypnotic riffs, epic layers. I have been listening to this pretty much on a weekly basis since i got the album in 1992. Legendary piece of music. Legendary band.

  • @klinsmeier as far as I'm concerned 91 - 95 were the greatest years for music ever. i was no spring chicken even then, but it just seemed to come together and hasn't reached the same heights before or since...

  • Amazing to here these songs again, absolutely amazing! I have them all on vinyl but to lazy to convert, thanks you soooooo much! :))))))

  • Have youg people stopped rebelling through music? I don't know the last time I heard something that made me think "Wow I'd love to be young right now" Have we ruined it for the up and coming generations by not letting go of our musical ideals? On the other hand, should I stop talking such drivel?

  • @ThePhil64 You are absolutely right. I feel honored to have been part of that scene. I was 19 in 1991, so it was the perfect age and i had the opportunity to go to many shows for a lot of the bands I loved. It is sad that its all over but at least we still have the music and can reminisce.

  • @ThePhil64 Ditto! 91 - 95 were the culmination of the 50's-80's. It is sad what happened in 1995, all the record labels merged and the music, no matter what genre, was cramming the same message of materialism in the listener's ears. I can only assume that bands such as Ride did not care to sing about such thoughtlessness and carelessness and pure selfishness and were ultimately shunned. Ride's legacy will inspire me eternally.

  • @benmcdonald73 oh good old times... seen them live several times and backstage. very nice people as well!
