Tryin' To Get The Feeling Again.
Barry sang this song live for the first time at The Troubador, LA. He mentioned that the song was intended for Bette (Midler) but he asked her if he could have instead, he jokingly said don't pay me for the week and she said fine. The rest is history.

Thankyou so much for posting this clip. I'm not a huge BM fan, but I have always appreciated his music and voice since way back in the 70's. I love the whole 70's look of this clip - from his suit (lol) to the great backup singers. An excellent live version, with great musical arrangement that doesn't overpower his voice. Makes me feel very nostalgic:)

@thewirrow since the moment I saw the drug introduced, I have been singing this to the ad. I hear the song, I imagine the guy in the hottub holding her hand. This jingle just came out too many years before the product! hehe!

The best version of one of his best songs, ever. David Pomeranz wrote a truly wonderful song about a very real everyday sad situation and then Barry blew the doors off it. A very underrated song and one of my fave's.
