Testing a new field DNA collection protocol.

Yes, yes, I washed my hands. And the countertop. And the sampling spoon.

I suppose gloves would have given a nice professional-looking effect, but seriously, who dons gloves to clean their catbox? I know my cats don't put on gloves or wash their paws in soap before walking all over the place after digging around in there.

Life is full of germs. Deal.

  • @phylogenomics Unforgivable oversight. Take me rather in your lab! ;)

  • Awesome. Take some poo, shove it into noisy machine for 30 seconds and presto -- Isolated DNA.

    ...

Also, I hope you've washed your hands after this...

  • Oh no - where are the gloves?
