  • We live in Maryland and I was concerned when she went to this school four years ago, but it payed off. She passed all of her praxis test.

  • @litalover19 This is Florida, and there are problems from top to bottom with the education system (elementary through post-secondary) and getting a decent job here is also a challenge. Some of the previous commenters have mentioned better outcomes in other states as well. As far as your daughter is concerned, I have a lot of friends who went to school for education and most of them found better luck leaving the state.

  • My daughter went to University of Phoenix for a BS degree in Elementary Education and she graduated early this year and now she is teaching 1st grade. I read the accreditation on Phoenix and they are legate.

  • @litalover19 That is fantastic for your daughter! However, this video isn't titled "5 school's I hate and why." It's called "5 Schools Under Investigation" because a government agency has decided there may be a problem with the way these schools conduct their business. Additionally, this video was posted almost a year ago, and I would imagine that these schools would adjust any issues that could potentially have them fined and/or shut down.

  • Um. You can look a school's accreditation up.

Argosy never ever promised such things. People who apply to these schools hopefully did their homework. I did.

I think that Tampa Bay Times is the non-credible source here and this girl is pretty off with her logic. She needs to do her homework (not just one source) before posting stuff like this.

  • @KonkoKid Of course you can look up a school's accreditation, that's not the point. The point is that schools cannot make claims that are unfounded. It's illegal. Additionally I didn't really offer my logic; I reported that 5 schools were under investigation by a federal agency that has a problem with the way they handle business, as did the newspaper (who again, only reported that the schools were under investigation, and why). Whether the allegations are true or not has yet to be determined.

  • Please know what your talking about before you post. being misinformed is sad, especially when you have a newspaper in front of you that looks unopened.

  • I go to Everest in Ca. They are accredited. I am in Massage Therapy. Massage has a very high placement rate. They did not promise us a job upon entering school. They do advise us they help with job placement and assist you in looking for a job but they never promise a job. They assist with resume writing. I guess some of the schools don't represent temselves correctly which is awful. Most of my classmates that have graduated are working in their respected fields. Making pretty good money.

  • I am with you. I am here in Texas and I see a lot of students that will not have a job after graduation. The story is true.

  • Don't listen to those people trying to make you sound crazy. The title of the video says what this is about. And while a school can be accredited, doesn't mean its a good school, gives a good education, or will help get a job. There is a reason for-profit schools are seen as scams. And all you have to do is post them the link to the ABC stories on them lol

  • in a country of millions! Of course this is wishful thinking, too many people are still too comfortable to make a change, but pretty soon, there won't be a whole lot of comfort to go around. Open your eyes, it's happening right in front of them. That's all I've got to say!

  • ALL showed up to the polls - damn a job on that day - and unite as One and refuse to vote...NOBODY votes. Instead, we hold all of these phony politicians accountable. We demand to know who they represent because it damn sure ain't us. Now, some people will vote - the one's who can afford to - but just imagine the predicament the country will be in when this news gets out around the world...and national poll numbers read some thing like Sen. Demopublican 760 votes & Rep. Republicrat 920 votes
