i noticed that some videos are NOT flv format but window media player CAN read them (somtime they are actually MP4 or WMV or others format, so if the media player CAN read them then just change for mp4/wmv instead of flv ... most "free" flv players are not as easy and stable as window media player is)

How to get the video streamed files from the latest firefox 8 cuz the cache is arranged some what like Apple file design....
-
firefox 8 splitted the cache folder in thousands, so you can't sort it by size anymore (was the easiest way to save a video). And now?

I used to be able to do it, but now Im trying on a particular page and cant find the damn video file

tank you tutorxyz ..I do not use firefox 3xxx-ie 6-7-8 .I am using firefox 4 .
Do you know where you are in Firefox 4...
"about:cache" is the pro way of saving vids down, but this video is showing you the long way, you can just type in "about:cache" and copy the Cache Directory underneath the 2nd heading "Disk cache device" into the windows address bar.
Also, does anyone know the reason why some files which are taken from cache don't work? E.g. I rename it ".flv", yeah, then when I try to open it with MPC, it says something about "codec..." and when I try open it with vlc it plays the bar with no sound/media?

Good one, You can also open the cache folder by typing "about:cache" in firefox address bar. copy the first link and paste to windows address bar.
