Spunky and tadpole was a serialized cartoon ,about 150 cartoons in stories at 10 episodes each. 1958 Thanks for putting this on ,got any more? i watched this 52 years ago.

I realize that, i was just saying that in 1958 when Spunky and Tadpole came out they had some better cartoons out before and after and the same year even. Colonel Bleep was 1957, all blown away with the Hanna Barbera bombardment of cartoons, hey, i watched them all on tv when they all first aired. Wonderful days, watching it all unfold.

@BlackMariaDownUnder A lot of that "Cartoon Dump" atmosphere is a bit smarmy and cynical.

@1952kid RUFF AND REDDY came out two years before this (1957), and HUCKLEBERRY HOUND the following year (1958).

Hanna-Barbera was already established for two years by the time this was produced. In fact in this same year, H-B produced QUICK DRAW MCGRAW.

I remember this when I was a little boy. S and T could be the precursor to all of the Hanna Barbera (?) cartoon characters. The voice style of all the HB character's is the same as Tadpole's.

ditto on all that... Best opening music for a cartoon, ever. Cute show.

Jesus, I forgot about this show. I used to watch it on the old BW tv set down in my aunt Roses house. I had to laugh hearing the old music in the show. Some good memories
Are there more cartoons of Spunky and Tadpole , or is this the only one to survive?
