July 19, 2009 - Ralph Peters, a military analyst for Fox News, calls Bowe Bergdahl, an American soldier captured by the Taliban, suspects that the troop abandoned his post during wartime. "We know this private is a liar." He added that "the media... should not portray this guy as a hero."

Peter's may really believe what he is saying. On the other hand he may be doing the very best thing for Bowe Bergdahl by downplaying his worth as a trading chip and even saying that the Taliban would do us a favor if they wasted him.
Things are never what they seem and even less so than as they are presented. I will reserve any kind of judgement on Peters and definitely on Bowe Bergdahl who is incapable of defending himself.
As of this post Sgt. Bergdahl has spent 912 days in captivity.
