@08turboSS Woot cudos to you ... rarely see people that understand physics :). I would actually think you need a bit more as torque is falling off on the x35i, so perhaps 5-10% on top of weight, or is that how you got to 475? Most 35 owner does not realize that even with matched hp/lb, they still need some extra to deal with lack of LSD, smaller tires, and faster torque drop off. Also people forget that driver tend to be the one that win/lose a race if hp/lb is within 10-20%.

Wow that transmission on the m3 was what helped it pull ahead. If it was manual than I think they would have been even. Both cars are sick!

Convert automatic 335 = Slow car... The specs: 335i Vert automatic >4005 lbs vs M3 v8 3695lbs... This particular 335 in this configuration as a convertable automatic, would need 475 bhp to run with a stock 414 bhp M3 v8....

A 135 on the other hand would need only 385 bhp to run with the M3 v8
