A team of 11 ARAN activists staged a press photocall outside the offices of the Labour Party in Dublin to bring attention to the party's shameful u-turn on the recent Ward Union stag hunt.
Although the hunt was successfully voted through and is now to become law, ARAN has kept the pressure on Labour in the run up to the Dog Breeding Establishments Bill vote on Thursday July 8, 2010. Just hours before the vote, activists wearing masks of Labour's most prominent TD's who originally supported campaigns against blood sports were mimicked by ARAN activists. Two television crews from RTE and TV3 news covered the event along with an Irish radio station wanting to interview ARAN on our campaign.
ARAN will continue to expose the Labour Party's shameful u-turn and will expose how they literally jumped into bed with the RISE! campaign seeking such crucial exemptions to the DB Bill which would of at least made some meaningful changes to puppy farm breeders in Ireland - of course ARAN's position on that is that we would prefer to see such breeders banned.
Thank God for people like you speaking up for the innocent animals that are murdered for fun. Keep up the great work Helena and all of you wonderful people!!!
