The Festaburg - Baumholder Hospitality House (pt 3)

Cadence International is an evangelical mission agency dedicated to reaching the military communities of the United States and of the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ. For five decades, Cadence has grown from a small, fledgling mission to an organization with close to 200 missionaries who work in over 50 locations worldwide.

Cadence serves all branches of the U.S. military in American and overseas locations. Comprised of nearly 4 million people, the U.S. military community has proven to be one of the largest, most responsive sub-cultures today. Cadence ministers not only to military personnel, but to their spouses and dependents as well.

At "a home away from home" servicemen and women find an open door, a comfortable couch, a home-cooked meal, and people who listen, encourage, love, and point them to the hope of Christ. Hospitality Houses offer different ministries depending on location. These may include Bible studies, singles groups, family-focused ministries, evangelistic outreach efforts, one-to-one discipleship, and coffee house ministries. Hospitality House missionaries strive to share the ups and downs of life with military personnel, encouraging them into deeper relationships with others and with Christ.

The Festaburg is a home in Frauenburg, Germany, where for 25 years the military community of Baumholder has found a home away from home. it is located between Smith barracks and Strassburg barracks. You are invited to join us for home cooked meals and activities weekly. There are several bedrooms where you are welcome to stay on th eweekends on a first come, first served basis.

At the Festaburg we use first names and wear civilian clothes. It is a place where you can get away from the noise, the sights, and the smells of the Army. On Saturday we often have trips out of town to see some of the incredible things that are nearby. There are seasonal activities like bike trips, ski retreats, and camping.

The Festaburg works closely with the Baumholder chapel community. Our goal is to provide a place where you can rest from the hard work you do, make good friends, eat some good food, and think about your life.
