Kinski gave an interview where he came up with the same set of answer's, remarkable is though, that it took place b4 what we've just witnessed. Gottschalk was no match for Kinski, all he could manage was making up a nickname and calling him a yogi. Kinski had every right to question the "we" context of pride. He couldn't relate to that concept and therefore declared repeatedly, that he doesn't understand the question.
Well, everybody knows that Gottschalk isn´t a showmaster who makes the most intellectual or deepgoing TV showes, nobody forced Kinski to go there, think they did fine together, it was fun. I never understood why everyone thinks Kinski is so damn intellectual that you have to treat him like a raw egg to merit him.
Is this the greatest non-interview ever made? Pure fun, and certainly a rare highlight on German TV. Please don't feel bad about having a good laugh - because that's exactly what Kinski wants. An exceptional actor without doubt, he was pretty much unbearable in his blatant egotism; here, however, he's relaxed (thanks to a few beers beforehand?) to a degree that makes him positively likeable. Maybe, in private, he wasn't such a nasty person after all...?
