Kimbo Slice training with Rutten&Tompkins for match vs Tank

Kimbo Slice training with Bas Rutten and Shawn Tompkins for match vs Tank Abbott on October 12, 2007 at CFFC 6.
Kimbo's training started in July and was run by ex powerlifting champ Milan "The Rib-cracker" in Miami, Florida. Then he moved to the West Coast where he has continued the training with Shawn Tompkins and Bas Rutten. He was working with Bas Rutten and Shawn Tompkins a lot on his grappling technic, foot work and boxing technic.
Completely new for Kimbo was a high altitude training (first time in his life) which increases cardiovascular endurance on Sierra Nevada mountains.

i;ve watched kimbo grow as a fighter it is refreshing to watch a fighter evolve. when u watch his early videos u can see the rawness but watching him now he seems more polished

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Kimbo slice's appeal is the byproduct of his rising up from the streets, of becoming something out of nothing, of catching it all on tape.

He's good, yet thus far he has only been intentionally hyped up in order to put asses in seats.

He is a true character, indeed. Same goes for Bas and that pussy Bob Sapp. Of course, character doesn't prove a fighter, neither does it win matches, only time will tell if Kimbo is fo' real, or just a squeal.

if kimbo could really speed up his punches, he might be a truly terrifying fighter, but he's old for this sport, and the time for improvement is slim, as for his real skills in mma, they haven't really been tested yet, maybe he should take someone good at bjj or wrestling next
