District 9 surprised me - it was a good flick. I saw it after seeing Avatar. . .and I think District 9 has much more human and more interesting story. I give it 5 stars.

@wonderwilly96 the alien ship has been there for twenty years, so many strange diseases could have been diagnosed because of the arrival a long time ago but not said on screen, because they are so widely recognized. vikus could have just dismissed it as a sickness and then went for treatment after the evictions had been done. he wouldnt just leave on his job, cause he was leader of the entire job and just got promoted. but yeah i could agree that this could have been a plot hole

@DiabeticOwl okay the first two answers i agree on but the third im not so sure, if my finger nails and teeth started falling out and black liquid started coming out of my nose I would seek medical attention straight away and if there was a alien ship above I would do it all more faster because i could be a alien disease or plague.

@wonderwilly96 okay. for one, he had access to complete air support. two, when he walks around the camp and explains things, its called exposition, where we are revealed to the character of the characters, and are given insight to aliens. in this present time, if i had the black nose bleed, ID FLIP THE FUCK OUT. but in district 9, aliens are flying out of the place, there is a motherfucking ship over africa.so anything unusual should be taken in stride, considering everything.
